Outlook 2003 can't find Object

An original install of Outlook 2003 on a brand new Dell won't open. On identifying the profile (the default profile), an error message states that the object can't be found and Outlook closes. All current Office updates were installed. With product failure, we totally uninstalled all of Office and reinstalled, this time not doing the online updates. Same error. Dell has worked on the problem and can't find the answer. Any ideas?
