Outlook 2003 - can't see replies, only original email

I only have this issue sporadically, probably only with certain senders.

I compose an original email in Outlook 2003 11.5608.5606 and send it. When
I receive a reply from the original recipient, the subject in the reply is
prefixed with "RE:" as usual. However, the email body contains ONLY the
original email text that I sent, not the reply.

When I view the email in my Webmail facility, I do see the reply.

What's happening and how do I fix it ?
