Outlook 2003 changes "YOUR NAME" when sending mail ... ë becomes e

In Outlook 2003 account settings there is a field "Your Name", normally this is the name that will
be displayed as Sender.

If I use a name with ë, ï, ... it will be accepted but the person who's receiving the mail wil see
these letters as e, i, ... in the Senders name ...

Example :
Coïlle will be displayed as Coille ï => i
Joëlle will be displayed as Joelle ë => e

If the mail is sent via Outlook Express, 2000, 2002, ... this problem does not exist, only with
Outlook 2003 as senders mail program.

Someone an idea ?

Thanks in advance.

The receiver does not have the capability to see the foreign accents. Not
your fault.

Sorry but it's not correct ...

I did a test with several systems, also receiving the mails on my own PC ...
If I send the mail with my Outlook 2003 the problem exist
If I send the mail with my Outlook Express the problem does not exist
If I send the mail with my Outlook 2002 the problem does not exist

And the same tests on other computers are givving the same results ...

:-(

What message encoding are you using?

OK, this was a very good idea from you to ask this ... ;-)

It was set to automatic !

I disabled automatic settings and selected Western ISO, now it's OK.

Thanks
