Outlook 2003 - Changing or Deleting Additional Profiles for Gmail

As mentioned in another post, I created a 2nd profile for Outlook 2003 to
work with a Gmail account and now that DL and others helped me get that
going, I am going
to delete this one gmail profile and instead do the same thing with a
different gmail address that has more activity and need OL's advanced
capabilities.

Can I just change the profile/OL acct information for the replacement Gmail
address
and rename the pst file, or should create the new profile/email acct from
and then delete the profile/acct that isn't needed? Or does it really make a
difference?

Option #3 might be better; remove the Gmail account that you do not want to
use anymore from your mail profile and then add the account that you do want
to use. There is no need to play around with the pst-files.

Thanks Roady ... I will do as you suggest so just wondering if by deleting
the un-need profile in XP control panel, will that automatically close out
the OL'03 email account and associated pst file? Or do I have to do
something in OL before or after the profile is deleted, and then go to the
data directory and delete the pst file?

Removing a mail profile will only remove the configuration and mail profile
specific files. It does not touch any pst-files. So if you want to delete
the mail database (pst-file) for that mail profile as well, you indeed need
to delete the pst-file manually.
