Outlook 2003 closes as soon as I open it.

I installed Office 2003 professional today and when I open Outlook it displays on screen for a split second then closes. I have changed the registry key as recommended in the information base, have uninstalled and reinstalled and have completed all updates but this continues to be a problem. Any idea's on how to resolve this?

Try a new mail profile here: Control Panel->Mail Icon->Show Profiles.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, Michael asked:
