Outlook 2003 contacts missing after reinstall

Greetings,

I had to format harddrive after some issues. Outlook .pst file was backed
up. I have reinstalled outlook 2003 and configured it to use .pst file from
alternate location by removing the new default .pst and pointing OL to the
backed up version on a different partition. The problem is my address
book/contacts are gone. They are not there. I was NOT using a PAB...just
contacts. I tried importing the old .pst which I read was where contacts are
stored but to no avail.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to recover this data? I don't have an
exported list by the way.
