I've had this problem for about a year. No idea what I did to cause
it or how to fix it. I don't have any problems else where. Running
Windows XP SP2 Tablet Edition.
Normal behaviour is of course...select item to copy...example email
from list view (e.g. inbox), copy it to clip board, open destination
(e.g. new or existing calendar item), paste, icon representing email
object appears in destination.
For me if I do this what is copied into the destination is
text...containing the values of the columns displayed in my inbox for
the copied email...e.g. the recipient of the email, the subject of the
email, the date and time and size of the email!
If however, I open the destination calendar item prior to copying the
item from the inbox it works as it should, and an email icon
representing the email object appears.
This behaviour is entirely consistent with any source list and any
destination object. If the destination object is not open at the time
of the copy the clip board only gets the text desription of the source
object...not the object itself.
Any ideas how to fix this?
