I have a notebook running XPpro SP2 and Office 2003 professional. The user is
using Outlook configured for popmail. When we try and open a mail message
(either read or unread) the application freezes. Taskmanager shows 99%
Outlook.exe process usage and the memeory usage slowly increases. We have
manually run detect & repair and scanpst with no effect. A new pst was
created followed by recreating the user profile - again with no effect. The
notebook is using Symantec corp 10.1 and it is showing no detections. We are
leaning toward a complet Office Uninstall, along with the user, and then
reinstalling both. Any ideas?
