outlook 2003 crash when browsing to add a photo to a contact

Whenever i try to add a photo to a contact, i.e when selecting 'Add a
picture' to any contact, I then browse, navigating up a couple of levels
until i try to open mainly 'My Computer', then Outlook reports a crash and
offers a restart. This is a WinXP SP2 system. Any ideas ?

p.s. Have tried a 'repair' !
