Outlook 2003 crashes when adding attachment after upgrading to IE7

Outlook 2003 11.6359.6408

I just upgraded to IE7, and what was a perfectly working Outlook 2003
now crashes whenever I try to add an attachment.

Start a new message, click on paperlclip to attach file, the browse
window pops up and almost at the same time I get a crash:

"Microsoft Office Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close.
We are sorry for the inconvenience"

If I drill down a bit further, I get:

Just an update on this - I just did all of the Outlook / Office updates
and the problem is still happening. Also, when I use the "Attach as
PDF" button, I get a much smaller file browse window (just like the one
you get when you do File -> Open from within a Windows program) - as
opposed to the full explorer window that the paperclip/attach brings
up. Anyway, the Attach as PDF does not crash when attaching - just the
outlook attach function.
