Outlook 2003 customizations not saving after exiting

Whenever I customize my Outlook 2003 toolbars e.g. add a new button or add a
new toolbar group, they are not saved & do not re-appear on the next startup.
A couple of program generated toolbar (AVG anti-virus & Blue Soleil
Bluetooth synchronization) add-ins DO re-apear though!

Thanks, that appears to have cured it.
Outcmd.dat had become corrupted, having somehow become a "Nero-Media" file!
renaming its extension to .old appears to have broken the faulty
association.

You're welcome! :)

Note that it's only a file type association. This determines the default
application that you try to open it with when you double-click on it. For
instance, you can link txt-files with Notepad or WordPad or pretty much all
other text editors. This has nothing to do with file integrity nor does it
affect the working of Outlook.

In your case it was really "just" a file corruption ;-)
