Outlook 2003 Deployment - Like User Names

We are using the CIW to create a .PRF to customize our installation. The
Outlook push is done through AD. It works fine as long as the user name is
unique. When we have like-names such as John.Doe and John.Doe1 we get a drop
down list to select the correct user. This seems to interrupt and abort the
customization process and the installation does not complete correctly. Is
there a way around this? Thanks ahead of time!

IIRC, if you put =%username% -- with the equals sign -- in the User Name box in the CIW, Outlook will force an exact match.

Sue,
We have noticed if we use the correct Case Sensitive UserName when logging
into the PC, the CIW will work. Can you substantiate our findings or is it a
coincidence? Thanks!

Sorry, but I'm not sure I understand what you're describing. Could you elaborate?

For example:
John.Doe
john.doe
John.Doe1
john.doe1
It would depend on how it was created in Exchange for case sensitivity.

I haven't heard of case sensitivity being an issue. It's not something I've investigated firsthand.
