Outlook 2003 - Desktop icon missing?

S

Scott Moos

Hi All,

I cannot seem to figure out how to get the Outlook 2003 desktop icon to
appear. I can easily make a shortcut to the EXE, but the actual 'live'
icon, you can right click and change options such as e-mail accounts and
such. How can I get this icon? I saw somewhere to get an Office 2003
deployment kit book, but there has to be someone who knows.

Please help.

TIA

Scott

We, also, have been using the same custom Outlook forms in a public folder
since
Outlook 97.

After installing Outlook 2003 (11.5608.5606), some people in our office get
the following message when attempting to open the custom form: "Object
could not be found." with the result that the custom forms cannot be used.

This is happening under several OSs: Windows 2000 Pro, Windows 2000 SP4,
Windows 2000 SP3, Windows 2003 Server, and Windows XP Pro. But the forms
are working for a couple of people using Windows 2000 Pro and Windows XP
Pro.

The usual remedy of closing Outlook and all Outlook items then deleting the
frmcache.dat file does not work.

Has anyone seem similar problems, or have a solution?

Thank you,

RG

I posted this a couple of weeks ago in the microsoft.public.outlook.general
group and received no replies. I haven't seen any information on this in
google searches yet either.
