Outlook 2003 Distribution List

I recently upgraded my e-mail from OE to Outlook 2003. I
had a number of groups in OE address book that selected
addressees based on a key code in the OTHER field. THis
field info transferred in Outlook to the NOTES file,
which I can[t seem to use for any additional address
selection in Outlook. Is their any way of transferring
the keys globally into a sortable, selectable field in
Outlook? It was so easy to prepare new addressee groups
in OE using this technique, but so far the only thing I
can figure out in Outlook would be to create categories
for all the keys and transfer each of several hundred
addresses one by one to allow this functionality.
Hopefully there is a better way.
