My ISP (Yahoo) insists that I send mail SSL which has been no problem until
the last week or so. Outlook now asks permission to use a key (there are no
details) and I get the following error message when sending: "Task
'pop.att.yahoo.com - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC7D) : 'Your outgoing
(SMTP) server does not support SSL-secured connections. If SSL-secured
connections have worked in the past, contact your server administrator or
Internet service provider (ISP).'" It has crashed a number of times.
I've gone over my E-mail settings with Yahoo, and everything is OK. I've
tried repairing Outlook, and I've run updated versions of Norton Anti Virus
and Windows Defender: everything seems to be O.K.
I am able to send mail without SSL, but Yahoo doesn't like that.
Any ideas?
