Outlook 2003 doesn't release data file when closed

On one of my computers, when I close Outlook to backup the *.pst file, I get
an error message that says "The process cannot copy [or move] the file
because another process has locked a portion of the file." I have to reboot
before I can do the copy. This doesn't happen on my other computers. How
can I fix it?

That usually means Outlook is failing to exit completely, the causes for
which have been posted here multiple times. Have you checked to see if that
is the problem?

I can't find any discussion of "Outlook doesn't exit." Can you point me to
the thread? Thanks.
