Outlook 2003 downloaded; lost my previous emails - how to retriev

I was automatically downloaded with a new version of Outlook Express and now
I cannot see my old emails - how can I retrieve them? Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for your tip - it has worked in being able to import (afte a long
process) my old address book into the new verision of Outlook (the old
messages and contacts are now present in my new Outlook) BUT when I try to
begin a new message and type in part of the address in the address book,
nothing happens. the addresses are all there in Contacts but I am unable to
use them unless I go to the Contact section and click on "New Message" to
this person. Any idea what I have to do now? You were so helpful - I hope you
can continue
