Outlook 2003 email problems

For almost a week I have only been receiving some of my emails from my yahoo
groups. I have to go online to my Yahoo groups to see what messages I
haven't received in Outlook.

I contacted my service provider, Verizon, and they tell me the problem is
with Outlook. To say the least, it is extremely annoying, especially when I
am not receiving messages regarding important issues that require my vote.

Can someone help me resolve this issue. Thank you.

Do you receive the Yahoo messages in your web based Verizon mailbox? If not,
the messages never arrived so Outlook cannot collect them either (let alone
being the cause of it). Do they have an on-line spam filter which could
cause this?

Yahoo Groups sometimes has a "hurlfest" as we like to call it; all of a
sudden it keeps all of the messages and at other times it likes to deliver
them all at once. Another possibility is that your emails got bounced
somehow. Yahoo will inform you about that when you logon to your Yahoo Group
and check your status.
