Outlook 2003 Error (Exchange server Not Available)

When i have installed MS Office 2003 on windows XP Professional after that
when i configure uotlook with exchange server 2000 the out look is not
responding i.e exchange server is not available. so any one can tell me that
how i can solve this problem

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
