outlook 2003 error message on start

hi all,
i get the following error message on starting outlook 2003:-
CICEROULWNDFRAME:OUTLOOK.EXE - APPLICATION ER.....
The instruction at "ox30cba5a9" referenced memory at "ox583d95ac". The
memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program

no matter what i do outlook just closes down!
this is driving me crazy
any ideas?
