I got reburish PC from microcenter. It had a trail version of Office 2007
which had outlook. I uninstalled Office 2007 and install my Office 2003. All
other Office program works fine except Outlook. After creating my email
account it gave me this error message:
"Unable to open your default e-mail folder. Outlook could not startbecause a
data file to send and recieve mail could not be found. To dd a data file,
such s a perosnal folder file, double-click the Mail icon in Windows Control
Panel."
I did that an when i try to add a data folder on my outlook profile it gave
me this error code in a dialog box.
"An unknown error occurred, error code: 0x80070002"
I looked up this error message online and they told me to rename
msmapi32.dll file to msmapi32.bak. I did that in the following directory
below.
c:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI
Then I ran the Office 2003 setup disk and did a repair.
Still no luck. Can anyone help me. After ready any tech blogs i found out
tht this a know issue when downgrading Outlook 2007 to Outlook 2003.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
