OutLook 2003 Exchange Server

I no longer need an exchange server for Outlook 2003 and the server itself no
longer works but when I click on the icon to open the program to change my
settings it gives me the message that My email folders and information store
can not be opened when I click ok the program closes. I need to completely
get rid of the exchange server and create a new profile with a POP3 account
but with out opening the program I can't accomplish this. I've tried to right
click and open properties on the desk top to edit but for some reason that
tab does not show up. I've even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the
program and it still isn't working. How do I fix this problem so that I am
able to go in and open the program to change the Exchange Server to a POP3?

Liz,
Take a look under start button -> settings -> control panel -> mail. click
on the E-mail Accounts... button, make sure View or change existing e-mail
accounts is selected then click Next >. Configure your accounts

I, too, am trying to get rid of the exchange server on my outlook. I have
deleted the account in the control panel but my mail still goes to the
resident Exchange Server. If I delete the "rules" that I have set (online) to
forward my email, I won't receive some messages (sent by people who do use
the Exch. server) as my email address is not changing. How do I keep my
incoming email off of the Exchange server and still receive all of it?
