Outlook 2003 Folder Question

Jim Kratoville

When I installed Office 2003 and upgraded to outlook it seems that I am
seeing double folders. Example. I Have a Hotmail Account it put the entry
in twice "Hotmail" and below that "HotMail" I tried deleting the folder
outlook but get the error message "Object not found" I have tried the
Outlook /resetfolders command and does not work and scanpst and found no
errors

There are two things that you can try:
One is to create a new profile and setup your account information again and
this should solve the problem. Then you could just delete the old profile.
The second option is to try and remove the duplicate problem. Here are some
steps that might work:
1. Close Outlook.
2. Go to Start -> Control Panel and double click the Mail icon.
3. Click on Data Files.
4. Write down the path listed in Filename for you data files listed.
5. Remove all of the data files by selecting them and clicking Remove.
6. Now add back only the data files you want to use, do not add the same
file more than once.

Hopefully one of these options will work to remove the duplicate .pst file
in Outlook.
