Recently, my Outlook 2003 has forgotten how to remember my emai
passwords. The passwords work, but I get prompted to re-enter the
every time it checks for new mail or I try to send something. I a
running XP Professional, Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 Build 2600 an
Outlook 2003Ver 11.6359.5360, SP1. My research suggests there is a
easy fix for this as detailed in Microsoft's publication Q290684
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;29068
However, I have performed this "fix" several times with no success.
have also, as suggested elsewhere, checked and verified that "Protecte
Storage" as listed in Services is running
I have not made any recent changes to my system setup and password
were being remembered correctly until several days ago. I do hav
Windows auto critical update service turned on, however. Just as
test, I trird accessing my email accounts using Outlook Express (OE
and also Opera. Opera remembers the passwords, but OE, like Outlook
does not
I am stumped. Does anyone have any other suggestions
