I am currently setting up and testing a new PC refresh that includes Windows
XP SP2 and Office 2003 SP2 with Exchange 2000 as the mail server. While beta
testing the configuration we ran into the following problem that can be
duplicated like this:
Go to Tools-->Options-->Email Options and change the drop down menu for When
forwarding a mesage to "Attach original message"
Open any email message, click forward and forward the message to yourself.
Open the message that you just received, then open the attachment that was
the original message.
Close the attachment.
If you try to re-open the attachment, you get a generic "Operation Failed"
message. At this point you need to close outlook before you will be allowed
to open that attachment again.
I have disable the antivirus and deleted and recreated the profile to no
avail. This is reproducable every time.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks
