Outlook continually freezes. Task manager shows the outlook.exe process at
99% and the memory usage increases by about 150k every second and will rise
untill it hase used all available memory. i ended the process once it got to
150mb. It is running on a new install of Windows XP Pro with all service
packs and updates and the office suite is at sp2 and latest fixes.
Event viewer displays "event id: 1002, source: application hang" error only
once the application is closed down or the process is teminated.
The hanging occurs frequently when selecting between emails or navigating
between folders. Sometimes it hangs for only 2 mins and then continues. Other
times it will hang indefinately. The installation has been removed and
re-installed and the users profile recreated with no luck.
The Laptop is a 1.5Ghz machine with 256mb ram. Other users with the same
machine and installaion do not experience this problem.
And suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise it willl be a
downgrade to fix.
