We have recentely discovered an issue with our tablet pc Outlook 2003
clients.
This problem affects tablet PC's that are logged in by a user who does
not have administative access to the local PC. After the user opens a
few e-mails, the processor maxes out at 100% and brings the PC to a
crawl. We have teted this with several different mailboxes connected to
both a 5.5 exchange server and our new 2003 exchange server. All have
the same results. If however we make the user a local admin on the
client PC the problem goes away. Making everyone a local admin on
client PC's is not a fix we can use.
We are using office 2003 sp2
The tablet PC is Compaq tc4200 an is using a Intel Pentium M 1.73 ghz
processor
