I have a user who when he opens Outlook 2003 it just hangs. Nothing responds,
and you have to close it by either right clicking on the taskbar and clicking
on close, but if you open Task Manager Outlook.exe is still running. There
are no other errors that pop after Outlook closes. I have tried repairing,
completly un-installing and re-installing Office 2003, running system restore
(all restore points fail), deleting extend.dat etc with no sucess. The only
error that shows up in the event log is Event ID 2002: "The MOF File created
for the Outlook service could not be loaded."
The user is running Windows XP SP2 with Office 2003 SP2. Office 2003 is
pushed thru Group Policy. If anyone could help it would be appreciated, as I
am one step away from a complete reinstall.
