Outlook 2003 hangs trying to load Word as it's editor

Running Office 2003, SP3. Whenever Outlook attempts to launch Word
as my editor, the system hangs. I've run Detect & Repair, reloaded
Outlook 2003 - still hanging.
I've temporarily changed my editor to HTML, but would like to use
Word 2003 as my editor.

Any suggestions ?
