I am using Outlook 2003 to connect to an Exchange Server for work-related
files, and to Hotmail for personal correspondence. Here are my problems:
1) Outlook hangs up whenever it tries to access the Exchange Server from
off-site. I would prefer that it stop trying because the server will not
allow off-site access. How do I accomplish this feat?
2) One of the posts indicated that Outlook will leave a copy of the messages
on the server. That's not been my experience. All of the messages in my inbox
were downloaded and now reside on my laptop. Given the security policy in #1,
this means I have to cut and paste the message into the Web client to answer
messages from off-site.
3) When Outlook hangs up, it seems to freeze my whole computer (a new Dell
Inspiron 9300). I can't even reach Cntl+Alt+Delete to get to the program
manager. What's the fix?
