I am working on an xp pc running office 2003. My files are kept on a windows
server 2003. Well, I deleted some files from the server that I thougth were
no longer needed. For instance, I deleted a file called, backup.pst. Then,
when I went to start my outlook program to read my email, I get the message
that Outlook cannot start because it cannot find the backup.pst file.
I really have two problems, I cannot figure out how to go into the server
recycle bin and retrieve the backup.pst file because I cannot even see the
virtual disk that it says it was originally on. And, I cannot start outlook.
If I start outlook by copying a dummy backup.pst file onto the drive, will I
loose every contact and old read email message that I had in Outlook?
Please help. Thanks, Peter in NH
