Outlook 2003 Help and Questions

I was wondering if it's possible to create a folder for a new e-mail account that is independent of the personal folders? I notice that if I add a 2nd e-mail account, I can't create a folder outside the personal folders. The reason why I don't want that is because the 2nd e-mail account's folders will end up going to the inbox first and then because of my rules that I setup, it'll move it to the 2nd e-mail account's inbox. I want it to be like hotmail in which the folders are outside of the personal mail folders. Also I was wondering if it's possible to remove the favourite folders box by a hack or registry change? Is there any way to configure Outlook 2003 to look more like Outlook 2002? I don't really like the layouts of Outlook 2003. Thx for your help.

What you describe is possible if the email account is on an IMAP, Hotmail, or MSN server. Otherwise, you would have to use a rule to move the items to another folder.

Is it possible to remove the favourite folders box? Also how come the hotmail tree always stay collapse? Why can't I get it to stay expanded? Another funny thing is that I can't get my anti-virus(Nod 32) to scan incoming hotmails. My computer got infected through a virus that was attached to an e-mail from hotmail. How I know? An hotmail folder is infected and was reported by my anti-virus software. I can't find any anti-virus that will scan all incoming e-mails whether it's from pop 3 or not. Do you happen to know any? Thx

No, the Favorites section cannot be removed, nor can you control how the Hotmail hierarchy works.

Most anti-virus programs do not scan non-POP accounts.
