Guess Who
Using Outlook 2003 at home, and I set up all my birthdays, etc as recurring
events. I backed up my .pst file with all mail/contacts/etc. When I
reinstalled Office 2003, and ran Outlook 2003, I opened up the backup file,
and all my recurring events were there, on the backed up calendar. However,
I could not copy these events into the new calendar.
Using the "copy calendar" function just put it as a sub calendar under my
main calendar, and I did not want to have the 2 calendars open. I had to
open both calendars side by side and go through the whole year,
right-dragging each event to the corresponding date on MY calendar, then
update EACH and EVERY event in MY calendar to a yearly recurrence, as it was
only set up as a one time thing.
There HAS to be a better way to do this. This is ridiculous. Is there any
way to copy all appointments/events, etc. at once from an old calendar to
the new one? At least with the contacts folder, I can select all and copy
to my contacts in one shot. Is there any way to view all
appointments/events in one place instead of the calendar?
