Hi,
I’m having a problem with the First Run thing in Outlook 2003.
I’m using a script to setup RPCoverHTTP which runs fine, IF Outlook has run
before.
If Outlook has been started before everything is fine. The script is
supposed to be used on any machine matching my exact conditions.
With fresh Outlook installs I get the First Run wizard.
This is what I have to do with fresh Outlook setup.
1. Run my script
2. Outlook opens and starts First Run wizard
3. Cancel First Run wizard
4. Kill my script
5. Re-run script
6. Finished
I’ve tried googleling and get millions of hits on how to force First Run.
I’ve tried exporting registry before and after to find differences, but
haven’t been able to pinpoint.
I’m thinking of adding a feature to my script, that runs Outlook and kills
it, before running the original script. However I don’t find that too “funkyâ€
Solutions appreciated ;-)
