Outlook 2003 hyperlinks & spelling no longer work

I have Windows XP home. In the past week I've received a couple of IE
updates. Now neither the automatic spell check or any hyperlinks in my
emails work. When I click on the hyperlinks, I am sent automatically to my
IE home page. Help!
