Outlook 2003 import contacts

I want to import a email contacts directly into a group within Outlook 2003
contacts without having the email address showing individually as well.
Because of the sheer volume (1000? over a years time) I only want the
contacts to go directly to the group.

I think you will find that using a Distribution List (presumably that is
what you mean by "group" - Outlook does not use the term "group" for
anything) with 1000 members will be COMPLETELY unwieldy and VERY difficult
to manage.
You would be far better off with that sort of number to import into Contacts
directly and set up a Category for the mailing list.
