We are migrating from an Exchange 2000 server to an Exchange 2003
server. All our clients are Outlook 2003 running in cached mode.
When I had previously done mailbox moves with Outlook 2000 clients, the
client was able to pull the information about the client's mailbox
server location from AD, and automatically modify Outlook's MAPI profile
without the need for any admin intervention.
However, I'm noticing that my Outlook 2003 cached mode clients, aren't
doing this and are instead defaulting to "offline mode" until I make the
necessary change to the client's Outlook MAPI profile.
Is this a known behavior? Any reason it changed from Outlook 2000?
