Outlook 2003 installation problem

Was there any trial version of Office installed that you failed to uninstall
first?
Are you not able to add a data file using the mail applet?
And the configure your accounts?

I have installed Office 2003 on a new computer but cannot start Outlook, I
get message "Unable to open your default e-mail folder..." and when I go to
control panel, mail, there are no data files to choose from... Can anybody
help please.

Of course there are no data files to choose from on a new PC. You must
either transfer one from your prior PC, if you're replacing a PC, or you
must create one.

Hi Henning!

It appears that you haven't been able to complete the run once process when
you start outlook the first time after installation. What you need to do
now(office is completely installed) is to work your way in to control panel.
If you got vista or xp you will find control panel on the same place eahter
way.

Start
Control/Control Panel
E-mail/post
show profiles
"add" profile
#follow the on screen wizard and then you should be done to use outlook the
normal way. =)

Thanks, that worked, except whenever Outlook starts now it immeadetly
freezes completely, only alt+ctrl+del will close it....
