Outlook 2003 news command disappeared

I'm trying to customize my outlook 2k3.

I wanted to add news to the go menu, once I could do that.
After a day the menu item couldn't stat Outlook Express (the newsreader
app), but started an explorer pointing to c:\Program Files\Common
Files\System\Mapi\1033

I removed the menuitem (using tools customize), and from now on i cannot add
it back, it has disappeared from the available commands list.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Peter

I found the solution, FYI i publish it here:

"Found the solution.... On Winxp, go into control panel, network and internet connections, then go into internet options, then click on the programs tab, and put outlook express as your default news reader. Go back into outlook and add the news icon like before, when you're done, load up the news reader, and it will ask to make outlook express your default reader, click no, and uncheck that box that asks if you wanna check for a default news reader next time. That should do it... it worked for me... lemme know if it helps"
