This may be more of an Exchange question, so I'll post it there too.
Initially, I was getting this in the event viewer:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: MSExchangeIS
Event Category: General
Event ID: 9646
Date: 4/25/2006
Time: 4:17:47 PM
User: N/A
Computer: MAIL2
Description:
Mapi session "/o=domain/ou=domain/cn=Recipients/cn=username" exceeded the
maximum of 250 objects of type "objtMessage".
I went into Exchange System Manager > Administrative Groups > First Group >
MAIL2 > First Storage Group > Mailbox Store > Logons
I then added the "Open Messages" column. I noticed that there were several
clients (including my own) that have more than 100 Open Messages. None of
these computers were doing anything special and don't have any 3rd party
email programs installed.
(Long story short) What I found out is that when I was opening emails in
Outlook 2003, the Open Messages number went up and never down even after I
closed the messages.
Does anyone know why Outlook would not be closing these open messages?
