Outlook 2003 not listed in "Set Default Programs" in Vista Options

Greetings,

When I click a mailto: link in IE7 I would like Outlook 2003 to open.
However, on my Vista Ultimate installation it tries to open Windows
Mail instead. I thought I would fix that by going to "Start->Default
Programs->Set Your Default Programs" and configuring Outlook 2003
there. However, Outlook 2003 is not listed in the "Programs" list!
How can I make Outlook 2003 my default e-mail program if it's not
listed there? I've read some other discussions about this same
problem, but no one seems to have a solution. Has anyone figured
this
out yet? Thanks for your help.

Regards,

Scott

for E-mail, Contacts, and Calendar" checked?

Yes, it is checked. Any other ideas? Thank you.

In Outlook (or any other Office app), try Help>Detect and Repair

I tried that suggestion, but it didn't make any difference. Outlook
2003 still does not appear in the "Progams" list. IE is there,
Windows Mail is there, but no Outlook! Thanks for your help.

Maybe someone in the Vista groups could help.

Scott, I had this problem since I installed vista and office 2003 in Jan
2007. Never found a fix having asked in lots of different forums and sites.
It only started working after I installed Office 2007. Not much help, sorry.

What is listed and what other options do you have under IE\Properties\Programs\Email
