I have been using Outlook 2003 normally when suddenly during the Send/Receive
process my computer restarted (Windows XP SP3). After that Outlook 2003
doesn't work. After I start Outlook 2003, splash screen is displayed and I
have to wait for more than 1 minute for the dialog to choose profile is
displayed. After I choose profile, Outlook 2003 shows some error and closes.
I have deleted all profiles in Outlook 2003 from Mail icon in Control Panel,
uninstalled Outlook 2003 and installed it again. But, the same problem is
here. After I installed Outlook 2003 I went back to Mail icon in Control
Panel and successfully created test profile. After I start Outlook 2003,
splash screen is displayed and I have again to wait for more than 1 minute
for the dialog to choose profile is displayed. After I choose test profile,
Outlook 2003 shows the following error:
"Unable to open your default e-mail folders. The server is not available.
Contact your administrator if this condition persists."
I don't use Exchange or any other server, my profile and data files are
stored on local hard drive. Please, can anybody tell me how to fix this and
use Outlook 2003 again on this machine?
