Outlook 2003 - Notes - Size limitation?

David Bell

Do you know if there is a "size limitation" on a "note" created in
Outlook 2003?

I "copied" a file that was created in Notepad (Microsoft) and tried to
"paste" it into a new "note" that I created within Outlook. About the
first 700 lines were fine --- but then the balance was truncated.

I could not seem to add any additional characters in the "note" unless I
deleted some of the characters that were already there.

It appears as if there is a maximum size or total character limit --- in any
one "note" within Outlook.

Is anyone aware of a "size constraint" in any one "note" within Outlook
2003?

Thanks for any experience or comments you can share.

Yes, there is one (in older versions of OL, too) - I don't know how many
characters are supported, but it seems you found the limit. I don't know of
any way to change this. You might want to attach the wordpad file to a task
or something if you want it in Outlook. You can't attach anything to a note.

I has a similar experience over the weekend. I had a bunch of phone numbers
I wanted to store in a Note, so I copied them from the web page on which I
found them. When I tried to close the Note, I received an error that
Outlook could not complete action and the note closed. I found that if I
entered the information by hand or by pasting one number at a time closing
between each one that I was able to get all the numbers into the note.
