We are experiencing problems with Offline Caching. We have users running
Windows XP SP2, Office 2003, Some no patches, some SP2. The issue is, we use
shared contact lists and calendars. Rather than add them into the mailbox,
they go to the appropriate folder in Outlook, i.e. Contacts, then open the
shared resource.
The issue is the initial time it's setup, works fine. If we have the user
in offline caching mode, even if they're connected to the Lan, the next time
they login after shutting down the machine, it cannot open those same
resources. The only fix at this point is to remove the offline cache mode
from their profile and leave it off.
