I have a user with two computers running Outlook 2003 (Exchange 2000). His
mailbox has about 60-65 folders. Since he sometimes works offline, he has
his mailbox set up to synchronize to an OST.
One of the computers works as expected. The other synchronizes his Inbox
and about 24 other folders that alphabetically fall above it on the folder
list. It does not synchronize any of the 38 folders whose names fall below
the Inbox in the alphabet. He can manually synchronize thoser folders using
Send/Receive -> This Folder, but they will never sync automatically or using
Send/Receive -> All.
No errors are generated by Outlook or on the server. This user has been
working this way since Outlook 98, and is well familiar with how to set up
synchronzation. Plus, I have verified that all of the settings appear
correct. Although his mailbox is fairly large, it's split up into all those
folders, and no individual folder is particularly large. This is an upgrade
from Outlook 2002, where the sync process worked as expected. Having had
some problems with Cached Exchange Mode, we are not using that.
Anyone have an idea about how to resolve this? TIA.
