Hi,
I’m running Office 2003 Pro on Vista Home Premium, all fully updated, and
Outlook is syncing with a Nokia N73 phone and an Acer n311 PDA (running
Windows Mobile 5).
All of this is working OK, except for one small problem with categories in
Outlook!
When you select multiple categories for an item, new or existing, the usual
‘;’ separator gets replaced immediately with a ‘’’. If you type the ‘;’
instead of letting it be added automatically, as soon as you press space it
gets replaced again with a ‘’’. For example, if I add two categories,
‘Personal’ and ‘Financial’, the list is displayed as ‘Financial’ Personal’
instead of ‘Financial; Personal’.
This wouldn’t be a problem, except the PDA then doesn’t recognise them as a
list of categories but as a single category instead. Outlook does recognise
them as separate categories though.
I’ve tried creating fresh items in a new profile/data file, as the original
data file was copied over from an XP machine, but I still got the same issue.
Has anybody else seen this issue please? Does anybody have any ideas as to
how to fix it please?
Thanks in advance for any help anybody can give,
Chris
