Outlook 2003 once installed will never go away.

We are deploying Outlook 2003 to around 1000 users and have an issue that we
really would like to get resolved before we start pushing this product out to
the masses.

I am installing Outlook by creating an administrative install on our
network. I then applied Service Pack one and serveral of the latest security
patches. I am then using the Custom Installation Wizard found in the
Microsoft Office 2003 Resource Kit to create a custom transform for the
installation. In this MST file I am customizing Outlook to create a new
profile which I am naming "Default". I configure my mail server name and put
%username% in the user name field so it will pickup the current user logged
into the comptuer. I also tell it to use Word and HTML when editiing a new
message.

The install is working great. It automatically creates the profile for the
users and they are in their mail automatically with out them needing to
configure anything. However, I found one problem in the install which I
fixed. I didn't know that I needed to tell the MST file to add the OAB -
Outlook Address Book. I was finding the contacts were not available when the
user was address a new message. I found the solution for this by add the OAB
into the MST file.

My problem is with the computers which I have already install Outlook on. I
have created two MST files one without the OAB included and one with the OAB
included. If I install Outlook for the 1st time with the OAB included the
user is working perfectly. If I install Outlook without the OAB it doesn't
work and there does not seem to be anyway to reverse it. This is the
situation I have with the users who got my original install of Outlook.

I have tried to uninstall Outlook and reinstall with the good MST file and
it doesn't change anything. I have tried to delete the Outlook profile before
I uninstall Outlook. When I reinstall outlook it totally ignores my custom
settings and requires the user to go through the Outlook setup wizard.

I have used InstallShield repacking wizard to see what was left behind after
I installed and unintalled Outlook. I was amazed at all the settings it
creates and leaves behind. I really, really need to find a way to remove all
these settings from my computer so I can get it back to the state were
Outlook was not ever installed. Then my good MST will work again. At this
point it seems my only option is to reimage their computer, but that is just
not exceptable.

If you can help me resolve this it would be very much appreciative. I know
in Office 2000 there was program which would remove all of these settings. I
have not been able to locate on for Office 2003.

Thank very much for helping me solve this.
