Outlook 2003 only available in Safe Mode

"Microsoft Office Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close" is
the message which comes up every time I try to open Outlook 2003. I have
tried repairing from the installation disk but it didn't work. I cannot copy
my contacts list so do not want to uninstall if possible. Have tried System
Restore but that won't work at all.

Are you running any add-ins? Disable them and try starting Outlook normally.

Note that reinstalling Outlook doesn't lead to data/setting loss so your
contacts list is safe.
