Outlook 2003, Out of Office assistant and Junk Mail Folder

Any way to build a rule so that the out of office message
does NOT get sent to anything that is poked into the junk
folder?

Responding to all the junk mail is not a good thing,
right, so why wouldn't this be the default for stuff
identified as junk?

Out of Office Assistant is set by default to NOT reply to Internet senders.
Unless your Exchange Admin has enabled this *feature* (bad Admin! no
biscuit!!), you should not see OoO replies going to external senders. If
you have people in your exchange domain sending spam, then that is another
problem entirely.
