outlook 2003, outlook today, error in display graphics

I run windows xp, outlook 2003: every time i re-start outlook or just change
to another and then back to outlook today, the customization (winter,
summer, etc.) of the outlook today page gets lost and an X appears where
there should be a small graphic... why?
